In 2015, the Government of Maharashtra launched the JSA, with the aim of making 25,000 villages in Maharashtra drought-free.
We are happy to inform you that Ajay Shelke, Manager at Watershed Organisation Trust, was recently engaged in an international conference the 11th Information Communications Technology for Development (ICT4D) Conference, in Kampala, Uganda.
The conference was held between April 30 and May 2, 2019. Over 900 attendees across 85 countries and over 440 organizations and 200 speakers shared their expertise at ICT4DConference. The main aim of the conference was to explore ways of applying digital technology to development, humanitarian, and conservation challenges.
Ajay mainly focused on the agriculture track and attended a workshop on how best to use artificial intelligence in the programs that WOTR is using.
