Watershed Organisation Trust is pleased to share a case study of 'Sattechiwadi' included as one of the best practices published in the Ministry of Environment and Forest, GOI National Report 2012 submitted to UNCCD. It gives an account of the activities implemented in Sattechiwadi (a hamlet of Hivargaon) Maharashtra and how specific land degradation problems were addressed.
We are happy to share with you that three of WOTR’s films were screened in the Kirloskar Vasundhara International Film Festival (KVIFF) which is currently being held in Pune since 7th January.
This is the 10th edition of this unique film festival which is the only Indian festival of its kind that combines film screenings and allied activities related to environment, wildlife, energy, air, and water. During the festival, National and International films on these areas are screened. The WOTR films that were selected for screening were as follows:
