There is an urgent need to create mechanisms to empower widows in Yavatmal and Vidarbha, and give them the support they need to pick up the pieces of their lives and move forward. However, such initiatives are rare. One of the few such projects for the welfare of the helpless women is run by Watershed Organisation Trust (WOTR) and its sister organization Sampada Trust.
Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation Systems in Watershed Development
The Resource book contains 9 tools related to monitoring of the products, processes and impacts of watershed development and one PM&E system as practiced in DANWADEP projects. The systems and tools are presented as case studies, as being operationalised and put into practice in different projects by the respective project actors. The idea is to provide practical information on application of these tools and how these tools helped in managing efficiency and effectiveness of project intervention by providing inputs for informed decision making.
