Human Resource Development


Trainings are in essence envisaged to enhance the technical, social and managerial capacities of the actors, especially the NGOs and VWCs involved in participatory watershed development. The NGO staff, Village Watershed Committees and watershed communities have been provided trainings through on-field “hands-on”, structured (classroom) and farmer-to-farmer extension. 

WOTR conducts trainings for various levels of staff (policy and decision-makers, middle management as well as implementing staff) of government organisations, donors and NGOs as well as for village communities and rural folk.

WOTR's resource team comprises of senior level technical as well as social staff having several years of experience.

Trainings, Exposure Orientation visits, Workshops for partner organisations:

To enhance the capacity of watershed dwellers, Village Watershed Committees, women’s Self-Help Groups, Samyukt Mahila Samiti (Joint Women’s Committee), NGO staff and village watershed volunteers (Panlot Sevaks) involved in watershed and allied activities.

External trainings, Workshops, Exposure Dialogue Programs at National and International level:

In order to foster mutual understanding and enhance the capabilities of institutions and actors involved in watershed development and other related activities, WOTR has initiated a series of national and international training and exposure dialogue programs since the year 2000 on a large scale.
