The film is an attempt to understand the importance of community participation in watershed development, and the need for a sense of ownership of the project by the stakeholders, which is a prerequisite for the success and sustainability of watershed development.
Rabavu Panlot, Sukh Alot   (Watershed Development will bring us happiness) (Marathi)
The film focuses on the need for strictly following the rules and regulations in watershed development and maintaining the social discipline which has been agreed upon.
Gavat Laxmi Aali  
(Prosperity has come to our village) (Marathi)  
The film deals with the need for setting up women's Self-Help Groups for savings and credit as a means to break the vicious circle of poverty.

Watershed development, with all the technical treatments it involves, is generally considered to be a men's bastion. However, taking an entirely different stand, this film shows how women are equally capable in handling technical and leadership roles in Watershed Development.
Enkindled Hope, Resurgent Spirits (English)

This film on women’s empowerment is a compilation of the experiences of many women who have found strength in the unity and solidarity of their groups.

Charaibandi (Ban on free grazing)   (English, Marathi, Hindi)

While the ban on free grazing ensures protection of the watershed treatments undertaken and survival of plantation done, it also adversely affects the herding community, who are usually the poorest in the watershed, in the form of additional work to cut and carry fodder for their livestock.  This film makes an attempt to see the situation from different perspectives.
Shramadan   (Voluntary Contribution by the Community)   (English, Marathi, Hindi, Telugu) This film attempts to explore the various issues arising in Shramadan.  It studies examples of various villages, the problems faced by them and solutions found by them in their unique situations.

Our School on the Watershed (English, Marathi, Hindi, Telugu)

This is a story of how watershed development directly affected the lives of the students of the school in Gunjalwadi, a small village near Sangamner in Ahmednagar District, Maharashtra.  The students have not only learned about watershed development, but have taken an active part in developing the area around their school.

Garamsur – Tale of an unknown village    (English)

This film tells of how the 'power centres' in Garamsur, a remote village in Wardha district, felt threatened by the watershed program which sought to empower the common people, and how a group of dedicated people with the help of women's self-help groups overcame this challenge.

Dongaon – U-Turn to Fortune (English)  

This is the story of Dongaon, a village divided into two political factions, which, when faced with the seemingly insurmountable problem of severe drought, accepted the conditions of the watershed development program which required them to bury their hatchet and rise above their rivalry for the benefit of the entire village.

Vaiju Babulgaon – A story of transformation (English, Marathi, Hindi)

In Vaiju Babulgaon (Taluka Pathardi, District Ahmednagar), despite three consecutive years of severe drought, the village still had sufficient water for drinking and for their animals.  This is their story in their own words telling of the process they went through in undertaking watershed development, their understanding of the work and the transformation it brought about in their lives.

Wadgaon – The marvel of watershed development   (Marathi)

 

 

 
In this film the villagers of Wadgaon, a village in Aurangabad, look back and take stock of the changes that watershed development has brought about in their village – from reduced migration, to increased awareness among the people, increased confidence, ban on liquor consumption, water availability, improved agriculture, availability of microfinance and so much more…

Experiences of Village Watershed Committees in Maharashtra  (English, Marathi)

This video shares the experiences of watershed committee members on important issues like watershed development, rural development, women's empowerment.  The beauty of this video is that the Watershed Committee members themselves are at the centre stage.  They express themselves, their changed perception, experiences in their own earthy and inimitable style

Relearning from Reality  (English, Marathi)

 

 

 
This video elaborates on the theme of Exposure and Dialogue Programme (EDP).  EDP helps the participants to get a first hand experience of the peoples' perception about their lives and natural resource regeneration.  This is turn helps policy makers and practitioners formulate relevant and appropriate policies and strategies.
