We may live our lives as individuals lost in translation, running back and forth to build our careers, homes, families, wealth and so on. But when it comes to doing something for the Earth, it’s a responsibility that none of us can shoulder alone. Here, the need is for all of us to get together. This simply reflects Al Gore’s film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ dealing with the subject of climate change as there is an urgency for many citizens of this world to get as involved as possible.

At WOTR, we can stand united to make a vast difference to the environment we are living in, or sometimes forced to live in. Such collective participation does pay huge dividends which are pretty evident from the many watersheds we have developed across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan where thousands of villagers have participated in joint efforts to bring water into their hitherto dry villages.
