Watershed & Ecosystems Development is one of the key areas to build resilience of Ecosystems and help local communities adapt. Participatory Watershed Development has long been recognized as effective tool to combat drought and alleviate poverty. Realizing its importance, both the Central Govt. as well as governments of individual states have various ongoing large-scale Watershed programs like the DPAP, WRF, etc. At the same time, bilateral and private funding organizations too are sponsoring numerous watershed development and Climate Change Adaptation programs all over the country.
